Note from the Director
Now that 2025 is here our next SUUSI feels closer! I wanted to write a quick note of greeting for the new year, to let everyone know that planning for SUUSI 2025 is coming along nicely. The Core Staff and Board are working to get everything ready for a week of keeping Love Central!
Now for a couple of updates/changes from last SUUSI: First, Sunday night we’re planning a SUUSI-wide social after Ingathering in place of Serendipity—details to come. Second, we will be able to sign up for volunteering positions during registration this year, and you will be able to add and drop those jobs like we have been doing with workshops and nature trips. Third, after 4 years of deficit spending, SUUSI 2024 actually had a small surplus, so there will be no price increase and the cost of SUUSI 2025 will remain the same as for 2024! However, we will be adding $75 for adults or teens staying in a single room for the whole week. This single room fee is just passing along the additional cost that Radford charged last year and will charge again in 2025.

About the price...
Those who have attended in previous years may notice that SUUSI registration has gone up in price. SUUSI's costs have increased significantly in recent years, and that combined with lowered attendance (post-COVID) caused the cost of putting on SUUSI to greatly exceed the revenue SUUSI was bringing in. The Board and Core Staff are committed to SUUSI's long term financial stability, and bringing SUUSI's registration fees and costs into better alignment is just one of many ways SUUSI leadership is safeguarding SUUSI's future.
