Volunteers
Volunteers! We need volunteers!
Volunteers are an integral part of the interdependent web of SUUSI. From the late night Coffee House to daily morning Theme Talk, from face painting at Community Time to the wonderful madness of check-in and check-out, volunteers make SUUSI successful.
Without the effort of each volunteer SUUSI would cost much more money, if it existed at all!! SUUSI is an all-volunteer effort. Through volunteering, you will learn more about how SUUSI functions and you will meet more of our community. Keep the SUUSI spirit alive by volunteering during the week.
There is no restriction on the amount of time you may volunteer. For more information contact the Volunteer Coordinator at volunteers@suusi.org.
Fill out the volunteer form included in the registration forms and then visit the volunteer table at Registration on Sunday.

Being a SUUSI ambassador
SUUSI is the sort of special experience that you talk about for the rest of the year, until the next SUUSI rolls around 51 weeks later.
SUUSI Ambassadors are volunteers who "spread the word" within their community, at their congregation, and with their friends and family. Here’s what you can do to promote SUUSI:
- Use the suusi.org link as part of your email signature, so your friends can explore the site.
- Hand out brochures about SUUSI that are sent to ambassadors throughout the year
- Host a potluck or gathering for folks– tell them how you spent your summer vacation and show them the SUUSI slideshow (in DVD format).
- Submit an article for your congregation's newsletter.
- Post a message to your congregation's email group.
- Coordinate a SUUSI Sunday Service.
- Wear SUUSI T-shirts to church.
- Mention the unlimited food (fries included!)
- Tell others about a SUUSI experience that changed your life.
- Share testimonials from SUUSI participants.
- Show them last year's mugbook and point out all the cute kids (and adults).
- Hang posters at your congregation.
- Tell your Director of Religious Education about how to get on staff to make his or her bill lower and fun greater.
- Ask your minister to come – we offer discounts to encourage them.
- For those individuals or families with financial hardship, tell them about our SUUSIships.
If you want to be a SUUSI Ambassador, sign up for the SUUSI Ambassadors email list - simply send an email to ambassadors-subscribe@suusi.org. On this list we share ideas about the most effective ways to promote SUUSI at our home congregations and elsewhere.
If you'd like more information or have questions about being an official SUUSI Ambassador, please e-mail Jenian Gebeaux (communications@suusi.org).
