SUUSI is the sort of special experience that you talk about for the rest of the year, until the next SUUSI rolls around 51 weeks later.
SUUSI Ambassadors are volunteers who "spread the word" within their community, at their congregation, and with their friends and family. Here’s what you can do to promote SUUSI:
- Use the suusi.org link as part of your email signature, so your friends can explore the site.
- Hand out brochures about SUUSI that are sent to ambassadors throughout the year.
- Host a potluck or gathering for folks– tell them how you spent your summer vacation and show them the SUUSI slideshow (in DVD format).
- Submit an article for your congregation's newsletter.
- Post a message to your congregation's email group.
- Coordinate a SUUSI Sunday Service.
- Wear SUUSI T-shirts to church.
- Mention the unlimited food (fries included!)
- Tell others about a SUUSI experience that changed your life.
- Share testimonials from SUUSI participants.
- Show them last year's mugbook and point out all the cute kids (and adults).
- Hang posters at your congregation.
- Tell your Director of Religious Education about how to get on staff to make his or her bill lower and fun greater.
- Ask your minister to come – we offer discounts to encourage them.
- For those individuals or families with financial hardship, tell them about our SUUSIships.
If you want to be a SUUSI Ambassador, sign up for the SUUSI Ambassadors email list - simply go to ambassador list page to subscribe. On this list we share ideas about the most effective ways to promote SUUSI at our home congregations and elsewhere.
If you'd like more information or have questions about being an official SUUSI Ambassador, please e-mail Wendel Putney(outreach@suusi.org).
